In Episode 17 of Facts Driven, host Dan Thomas breaks down the basics around the coronavirus epidemic. The virus is believed to have started in Wuhan, China after reports of Numonia were reported in mid-December. On January 1st of this year, it was discovered that wildlife being sold at a market in China were discovered to be the source of the virus. As of today March 18th, 2020 there are over 218,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus worldwide and over 8,800 deaths have also been confirmed. In the US alone over 7,700 cases have confirmed and 115 deaths, however, the US is severely lagging behind on testing procedures at the moment and confirmations only reflect a fraction of what is really happening on the ground. Week two of the public impeachment hearings started on Tuesday November 19. This hearing was jam packed with testimony from four witnesses with legitimate knowledge of the details surrounding the July 25th phone call in which the president attempted to pressure the President of Ukraine to launch an investigation into his top political opponent Joe Biden in return for critical military aid for Ukraine’s fight against Russia. We heard from Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, the top Ukraine specialist on the National Security Council, Jennifer Williams, a foreign service aide detailed to Vice President Pence's office. Friday, November 15th marked day two of the public impeachment hearings on President Donald Trump. And as expected, it didn't disappoint. On Tuesday October 29th, the NCAA, the organization that manages collegiate sports announced that its governing body voted unanimously to start the process of allowing college athletes to profit from their names, images and likeness. The NCAA’s board of governors gathered Tuesday morning in Atlanta on the campus of Emory University for its final regularly scheduled meeting of 2019. The board asked the three separate NCAA divisions to “Immediately begin figuring out how to update their rules in a way that maintains a distinction between college and professional sports”. Over the years, several NCAA players, coaches and programs have found themselves embroiled in controversy regarding financial perks given to players. This issue has escaped not even the biggest of names in our sports culture.  NFL Quarterback Cam Newton, former basketball star and commentator Chris Webber, and Bengals Star Wide Receiver A.J. Green been found “guilty” of receiving improper financial perks during their collegiate playing day

On Friday the BBC reported that over 2,500 fires were happening in the Amazon Rainforest right now. When the president discovered the scope of this investigation, especially as the FBI probe closed in on Michael Flynn, he freaks out.
